What is the first thing that comes to mind when you think of bowling? Is it the atmosphere? Is it the sound of the pins going flying after an epic throw? For some, this type of fun includes a food challenge.
Opened in 1956, Midway Bowl in Carlisle, PA, has a lot to offer for a fun night out. Midway Bowl features bowling, billiards, sports simulation, and an expansive menu with a unique food challenge.
"The Lebowski" is named after the iconic movie The Big Lebowski and is a monster of a food challenge.
The Lebowski challenge includes:
• One pound of pulled pork
• One pound of pulled chicken • Sliced Applewood bacon • Three fried mozzarellas • Three jalapeño poppers • Coleslaw (eight ounces) • Crispy fried onions (eight ounces) • One side of waffle fries (eight ounces)
According to the menu at Midway Bowl, you have 20 minutes to finish the challenge without leaving your chair or sharing your meal. If you're "Dude" enough, you will earn a t-shirt, bragging rights, and a spot on the coveted "Dude" wall of fame. World-ranked competitive eaters Molly Schuyler and Dan "Killer" Kennedy traveled to Carlisle, PA, to check out Midway Bowl and their Lebowski challenge. Here comes the twist though, Molly and Dan are doing this challenge twice. Yes, you read that correctly. They have 40 minutes each (20 minutes per challenge) to take down not one but two of these massive challenges. Molly and Dan waste no time getting started on this tall order of delicious-looking food. Can Molly and Dan defeat The Lebowski challenge twice each? Did they go bowling afterward? (I don't think I could.) Make sure to check out Dan's video below to find out!
Molly Schuyler and Dan Kennedy are a force to be reckoned with when it comes to eating. The question remains: What will they take on next? We'll be watching closely.
