Molly Schuyler Destroys Massive Pizza Challenge in Southern Illinois

Pizza Villa, a well-known restaurant in Anna, Illinois, has been capturing attention on social media for its massive 28-inch team pizza challenge. Many teams have tried to conquer this gigantic pizza, and most have failed.
However, one team, known as The Roaches, made history by being the first to defeat the challenge, finishing in an impressive time of 26 minutes and 11 seconds.
As word of the challenge spread, competitors started traveling from out of state to take their shot at it. It also caught the attention of food challengers and competitive eaters.
The next attempt would be unlike anything this barn-turned-pizzeria had ever seen before.
They announced that Molly Schuyler, known as the world’s number one independent female competitive eater, would be coming to attempt the challenge. She wasn’t bringing anyone to help her—she was taking it on completely solo. Yes, you read that correctly: solo.
Molly is no stranger to food challenges. She has taken down five pounds of bacon in five minutes, eaten 50 slices (17 pounds) of pumpkin pie in 10 minutes hands-free, and even consumed a 72-ounce steak in 2 minutes and 44 seconds.
We arrived at Pizza Villa around 2 p.m. local time, and a crowd was already beginning to gather. Excitement filled the room as everyone waited for Molly’s arrival. She had traveled from Maryland and was stopping in to take on the challenge.
When she arrived, the pizza was still in the oven, baking hot and fresh. After another 20 minutes, it was finally time for the main event.
Since she was attempting the challenge solo, Molly was given a 45-minute time limit. If she completed it, the pizza would be free, along with a $1,000 check from a local bank that sponsored the event.
After going live on YouTube and receiving multiple cups of water, Molly began attacking the enormous pizza. Piece by piece, it started to vanish before everyone’s eyes, almost like a magic trick. The pepperoni glistened under the indoor lighting as Molly made each slice disappear within seconds.
She finished the 28-inch pizza in just 11 minutes and 42 seconds, becoming the first person to complete the challenge solo. The crowd went wild!
